Petrobras extension for World Wide Supply’s blocked vessel

Following recent approval granted to Petrobras to keep one of World Wide Supply’s PSVs working for the oil company, Petrobras has received approval to keep World Wide Supply’s other blocked vessel, the World Sapphire, for another 60 days.

Petrobras made an application to the Agencia Nacional de Transportes Aquaviarios (ANTAQ) to be allowed to keep the vessels on charter for additional 60 days each in spite of the vessels being blocked by Brazilian flagged vessels.

Petrobras received the 60 days extension approval from ANTAQ for World Wide Supply’s platform supply vessel (PSV) World Emerald in May. The Brazilian Certificate of Chartering Authorisation (CAA) of the vessel PSV World Emerald would originally expire on 21 June, but received an approval for 60 days extension.

The CAA of the vessel World Sapphire will expire on 10 August.

The Norwegian shipping company said on Friday it has now been advised that Petrobras has also received approval by ANTAQ in respect of World Sapphire.
