PHOTO: Keel Laid for Multipurpose Vessel Living Stone

DEME Group informed that the keel laying ceremony for the Multipurpose Vessel ‘Living Stone’ has been held at LaNaval Shipyard in Spain.

The vessel, planned for delivery in 2017, will serve the offshore energy market.

Living Stone will be equipped with a fall-pipe and rock installation system as well as cable/umbilical loading and installation facilities including also subsea construction capabilities.

After the delivery the vessel will join DEME’s fleet of fall-pipe vessels currently including Flintstone, Rollingstone and Seahorse.

The vessel is designed as green vessel with ‘dual fuel’ main engines, use of biodegradable grease and oil and heat recuperation. The Vessel will have a Green Passport and a Clean Design notation.

It will be able to accommodate 100 people onboard.
