Picture of the Day: Grays Harbor Dredging

American Construction Company continues the successful dredging of the Grays Harbor Navigation Project near Aberdeen, Washington.

The dredged material is transported to the open-water disposal site on their 4,000 cubic yard capacity split-hull dump scows “Freedom” and “Liberty”.

The channel is 350 feet wide with a depth of 38 to 42 feet.

This dredging program is essential to maintain access to the Port facilities which are located approximately 15 miles from the harbor entrance.
