The Chevron-operated Wheatstone LNG project is more than 40 percent complete, and remains on track for first gas in late 2016.

The Wheatstone project includes two LNG trains with a combined capacity of 8.9 million tonnes per annum plus a 200 terajoule per day domestic gas plant, located 12 kilometres west of Onslow on the Pilbara coast of Western Australia.

The LNG will be offloaded via a 1.2 kilometre loading jetty for transport to international markets. The domestic gas will be piped to the Western Australian mainland.
