Pivotal in LNG supply deal with Crowley, Molinos de Puerto Rico

Pivotal LNG and Crowley Maritime’s unit, Carib Energy, executed a multi-year contract for the supply of liquefied natural gas.

Crowley will transport and deliver the chilled gas from U.S. mainland to the end user, Molinos de Puerto Rico, an Ardent Mills unit, that intends to use LNG to power its operations.

Pivotal LNG, a unit of Southern Company Gas (formerly AGL Resources) will load LNG onto Crowley’s ISO containers that will later be transported via truck to Crowley-owned vessels in Jacksonville, Florida, and then further delivered to Molinos in Puerto Rico, Pivotal LNG said in its statement on Wednesday.

Pivotal LNG and Southern Company gas operate a network of liquefied natural gas production facilities with the capacity to produce 540,000 gallons per day and the ability to store more than 94 million gallons.

The company is also developing an LNG production facility in Jacksonville, Florida in cooperation with WesPac Midstream. Construction is expected to start in the coming months.
