Poland: GAZ-SYSTEM Signs Deal for Construction Work on Szczecin-Gdansk Pipeline

On 12 April 2012, GAZ-SYSTEM of Poland signed a construction work agreement with the Nafta-Gaz-Serwis company for the Szczecin-Gdańsk pipeline, Stage 1 Płoty-Karlino.

The company was selected under public tender proceedings. The value of the signed agreement amounts to 49,925,000.00 PLN.

The Szczecin-Gdańsk gas pipeline 265 km in length is located in the territory of the Western Pomeranian Voivodship and Pomeranian Voivodship. The construction of the gas pipeline will take place in four stages: Płoty – Karlino (approx. 63 km), Karlino – Koszalin (approx. 23 km), Koszalin – Słupsk (approx. 68 km) and Słupsk – Wiczlino (approx. 111 km).

The estimated value of the investment is 929.20 mln PLN, whereas the amount of co-funding awarded under the Infrastructure and Environment 2007-2013 Operational Programme ¬amounts to 226.88 mln PLN. The following gas pipelines have also received co-financing from this Operational Programme: Gustorzyn-Odolanów (175.45 mln PLN), Szczecin-Lwówek (159.26 mln PLN), Włocławek–Gdynia (21.47 mln PLN), Jeleniów-Dziwiszów (43.90 mln PLN), Polkowice-Żary (25.59 mln PLN) and Rembelszczyzna-Gustorzyn (121.55 mln PLN).
