Polarcus in 3D shoot off West Africa

Polarcus Limited, an offshore geophysical company, has received a Letter of Intent from an undisclosed client to execute a 3D marine seismic project offshore West Africa.

In a statement issued on Friday, the Dubai-based seismic specialist said it would be utilizing its RightBAND technique for broadband data acquisition.

Polarcus added the project was estimated to last for two weeks and would form part of its West African campaign during Q4 2015.

The company revealed no details regarding the value of the LoI nor the exact location of the project.

However, according to Marine Traffic data, one of Polarcus’ seismic vessels, Polarcus Adira, is currently manoeuvring offshore Senegal and the Gambia.

As reported on Thursday, Polarcus Adira started a new seismic survey over Cairn Energy’s Sangomar Deep, Sangomar and Rufisque permits, offshore Senegal.
