Polskie Górnictwo Naftowe i Gazownictwo (PGNiG) said on Wednesday that the LNG spot cargo would arrive at Świnoujście on Thursday.

The delivery of, what is the 54th cargo to the facility was confirmed on Thursday by the terminal operator, Polskie LNG.

The cargo, originating from Norway, is the fourth spot delivery this year and the twelfth spot delivery since the terminal started operations.

The cargo was purchased from Norwegian energy major Equinor and was delivered by the Arctic Discoverer LNG carrier. It transported approximately 63 thousand LNG tonnes, which after regasification equals to approximately 84 million cbm of natural gas.

Maciej Woźniak, vice-president of the management board of PGNiG for trade, said, “The specifics of spot transactions is that we seek attractive purchase opportunities from loads available on the global market.

According to the company, in recent months spot deliveries for PGNiG came mainly from the USA and Norway.

The delivery from Equinor is the seventh delivery of LNG to Poland in general in 2019.
