Polskie LNG Appoints New Board President

On April 26, 2012, pursuant to the qualification procedure carried out by the Supervisory Board of Polskie LNG S.A. Mr. Rafal Wardziński was appointed for the position of the President of the Board.

In the unanimous assessment of Polskie LNG S.A. Supervisory Board members, Mr. Rafal Wardziński fulfills all requirements specified in the announcement of the qualification procedure for the position of the president of the board. Owing to outstanding expertise and professional experience demonstrated by Mr. Rafal Wardziński in the areas of the activity pursued by Polskie LNG, the Supervisory Board of Polskie LNG S.A. decided in favour of his appointment for the position of the President of the Board of the company.

Rafal Wardziński has been a member of the Supervisory Board of Polish LNG SA since January 27, 2012. On 24 February 2012 he was appointed by the Board to perform the duties of the President of Polskie LNG S.A. Management Board. Mr. Wardziński exercised supervisory responsibility over the most important companies in oil and gas industry since 2008, holding the position of a deputy director of the Department of Strategic Companies in the Ministry of State Treasury. In the past Mr. Wardziński was a member of supervisory boards of state – owned companies such as Grupa LOTOS SA, PERN “Przyjaźń” SA and GAZ-SYSTEM S.A. Currently Mr. Wardziński holds the position of the Deputy Chairman of the Supervisory Board of TAURON Polska Energia S.A. Since 2008 Mr. Wardziński was involved in the Swinoujscie LNG Terminal construction project. Mr. Rafal Wardziński took part in the process of determining the final location for construction of this key investment in the energy sector. Moreover, he actively participated in legislative proceedings concerning implementation of this project, including the act on investments in LNG terminal construction.
