Portugal awaits Nigerian LNG cargo

REN’s Sines LNG terminal in Portugal is expected to receive a cargo from Nigeria next week. 

According to shipping data, the 160,000 cbm Golar Crystal LNG carrier departed from Nigeria’s LNG plant on Bonny Island and is scheduled to dock at the Sines jetty on December 8.

Golar LNG’s carrier, managed by Golar Wilhelmsen Management, was built by Samsung Heavy Industries and delivered in 2014.

The Sines LNG terminal located on Portugal’s Atlantic coast in the industrial area of Sines port has a nominal sendout capacity of 600,000 cubic meters per hour (5.26 bcm per year), with a peak capacity of 900,000 cubic meters per hour.
