Portugal set to receive LNG cargo

The 2004-built, 138,273 cbm Milaha Ras Laffan LNG carrier is to deliver a cargo of chilled gas to REN’s Sines LNG import terminal in Portugal next week.

According to the shipping data by the Port of Sines, the vessel is due to dock at the LNG terminal that lies on Portugal’s Atlantic coast on May 9.

The LNG tanker is carrying a cargo from the world’s largest LNG exporter, Qatar.

Worth mentioning, Sines LNG terminal recently received the first cargo from Cheniere’s Sabine Pass LNG export terminal in Louisiana.

This was the first U.S. LNG cargo produced from shale gas to reach Europe.
