Portugal's Sines LNG terminal awaiting Nigerian cargo

Portugal is scheduled to receive a cargo of liquefied natural gas shipped from Nigeria at REN’s Sines LNG terminal.

Port of Sines shipping data shows that Nigeria LNG’s newbuild, the 174.904-cbm LNG Abalamabie is scheduled to dock at the Sines terminal on November 29.

The cargo has been dispatched from Nigeria’s Bonny export facility. The facility currently has six trains in operation with a total capacity of some 22 mtpa of LNG.

Sines LNG terminal, located on Portugal’s Atlantic coast, has a nominal send out capacity of 600,000 cubic meters per hour (5.26 bcm per year), with a peak capacity of 900,000 cubic meters per hour.
