Prosafe chairman quits for ‘workload reasons’

Prosafe, a provider of flotels for the offshore oil and gas industry, has named Glen O. Rødland interim chairman of the board of directors.

The company on Thursday explained that the move follows the decision made by its now former chairman Harald Espedal to step down from the position.

He also stepped down from a director position of Prosafe’s board of directors.

The company said that the board has accepted Espedal’s resignation which he offered citing “workload reasons.”

The workload reasons might be better understood if one visits Espedal’s Linkedin account. According to information there, apart from Prosafe, Espedal holds chairman positions at Lyse AS, Sandnes Sparebank, and Espedal & Co.

He also serves as Deputy Chairman of the Board at Oslo Børs, Oslo Børs VPS Holding ASA and Stavanger Konserthus, and is a board member at Den Norske Opera & Ballet, and Aspelin Ramm Gruppen.
