Prosafe makes organizational and management changes

Offshore accommodation specialist Prosafe has named a new CEO and made several other changes to its management team. 

Prosafe said on Thursday that Jesper Kragh Andresen was appointed as the CEO of Prosafe AS while Stig H. Christiansen became the new deputy CEO in addition to being the CFO of Prosafe Management AS.

Andresen was until recently the CEO in Axis Offshore. Before Axis, he was the president of Lauritzen Offshore and managing director of J. Lauritzen Singapore. He holds an Executive MBA from INSEAD and a Masters degree in law from the University of Copenhagen.

To remind, Prosafe recently bought two newbuild accommodation rigs Axis Nova and Axis Vega, and bought Axis Offshore’s share in the Dan Swift flotel.

Organizational changes

Prosafe said on Thursday Georgina Georgiou would continue as the general manager of Prosafe SE.

The new deputy CEO Christiansen joined Prosafe as CFO in August 2015 and has been acting CEO since April 2016. Before that, he was CEO in Add Energy group. He holds an MBA from Aalborg in Denmark, and a BCom from the University of Birmingham, England.

Also, Robin T.D. Laird was appointed deputy CFO of Prosafe Offshore Limited while Eirik Fjelde was named as the Chief Information Officer in Prosafe AS.

Ian Young and Ryan Stewart will continue as the Chief Operations Officer as Chief Commercial Officer of Prosafe AS, respectively.

Glen Rødland, Chairman of Prosafe SE, said: “The company has been through a fundamental financial restructuring and has implemented substantial efficiency measures and cost reductions during the past year. Further cost measures are being implemented during 2017. Prosafe will now focus even more toward the external market and on improving the supply side of the industry.

“The board is very pleased with the work and the results delivered by Stig Christiansen to Prosafe during the restructuring and transition last year. The strengthening of the management team and the employment of Jesper Kragh Andresen as CEO in Prosafe SE is the next step in preparing for the next phase in reaching Prosafe’s goal to regain profitability.

“The new management structure with Jesper and Stig sharing responsibilities and reporting to the board will create a complementary team with an increased capacity to achieve the board’s ambitious plans for the next years.”

The changes in the management structure will be effective from March 1, 2017.
