PSA Inspects Management of Martin Linge Development (Norway)

On 4 and 10 April 2013, the Petroleum Safety Authority Norway (PSA) carried out an audit of management of working environment factors, material handling and emergency preparedness in the Martin Linge development, with an emphasis on the facility’s topsides.

The objective of the audit activity in this phase of the project is assessing whether Total’s and Technips’ management of the working environment, material handling and emergency preparedness in the Martin Linge development in the engineering phase is sufficient to ensure compliance with applicable management requirements in the relevant project phase.

No nonconformities were identified.

Improvement items were identified in connection with:

– stipulating and communicating requirements

– planning and implementation of analyses

– employee and user involvement

– material handling

– heat impact on the offshore crane
