OSV Stril Mar set for another Barents Sea gig with Eni

Eni’s Norwegian subsidiary, Eni Norge, has activated another call-off contract for one of Simon Møkster Shipping’s offshore service supply vessels.

Simon Møkster said on Monday that this contract for the Stril Mar PSV was the second call-off deal for the vessel.

The company added that the vessel would arrive in Hammerfest on June 20 to serve Eni Norge’s operations in the Barents Sea.

To recall, the two companies signed a call-off deal for the vessel in December 2016 for 13 months firm plus options.

The first part of the contract also started in Hammerfest and it lasted for approximately 60 days. During this time, the vessel assisted the Scarabeo 8 offshore drilling rig during exploration and production drilling in the Barents Sea.

The Stril Mar is one of the newest vessels in Møkster’s fleet. The 91-meter long vessel was delivered in March 2016. It was built by Astilleros Gondan S.A. and can accommodate 25 persons.
