Qatar Sends Second LNG Cargo to Egypt

Qatar has sent a second shipment of liquefied natural gas as aid for the Egyptian people, according to Reuters.

The tanker carrying LNG departed from Qatar’s Port of Ras Laffan on August 9. This represents the second of five shipments Qatar has promised to deliver to Egypt.

Qatar, the world’s largest LNG producer, will supply Egypt with LNG to help the country with its fuel demand over the peak summer period.

Last June, Qatar agreed to donate five LNG shipments to Egypt to be supplied to the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation.
