Qatari LNG cargo bound for Japan

Qatar, the world’s largest exporter of liquefied natural gas, dispatched a cargo of the fuel from Ras Laffan port to Japan on Tuesday.

The Qatargas-chartered Al Wakrah, with a capacity of 135,300 cubic meters of LNG, is expected to arrive at Japan’s port of Nagoya on September 22, according to shipping data.

The port of Nagoya is home to LNG receiving terminals operated by Chubu Electric Power and Toho Gas.

Chubu and Toho Gas import LNG from Qatar and Indonesia at the port of Nagoya to use as fuel for power generation and for city gas supplies.
