Ramboll supports Dong Energy’s upstream O&G activities

Danish engineering services firm Ramboll will support DONG E&P with engineering services for upstream oil and gas activities as a result of a new framework agreement that has been recently signed between the two entities. The agreement is valid for four years.

According to Ramboll, the framework agreement entails provision of services in four main areas: front-end development, brownfield modifications, specialist services, and late life and decommissioning for DONG’s offshore activities.

The scope of work will cover marginal field development activities, maintenance and minor modifications, technical expertise in discipline engineering, and late life and early phase decommissioning strategies. This will embody both brownfield and greenfield projects, as well as minor EPCI projects spanning over the entire DONG Energy portfolio in Denmark, Norway, and in the UK.

Business Development Director in Ramboll Oil & Gas, Spencer Buur Thuesen said: “Front-end studies related to concept development in Norwegian and Danish marginal fields and the decommissioning discipline in the Danish and UK sector are trends in the industry at the moment. We are looking forward to assisting DONG Energy, and are confident that we can add value to their projects through our far-reaching industry-experience and our particular skills within those areas.”

“DONG Energy is a vital client for Ramboll, and we are extremely happy to be able to strengthen our Global Account Management (GAM) through full-service provision.” Spencer Buur Thuesen concludes
