Rana in Adriatic LNG win

Italy’s Rana, a diving and subsea services provider said it has won a 5-year contract from Adriatic LNG, the operator of the import facility located off Porto Levante.

Under the deal, Rana will provide diving and ROV services for inspection, repair and maintenance of the LNG terminal in the northern Adriatic Sea, the company said in a brief statement.

The 8 billion cubic meters capacity Adriatic LNG terminal is the world’s first offshore gravity-based structure for unloading, storing and regasifying the chilled gas.

The facility covers approximately 10 percent of Italy’s entire gas consumption.
