Raytheon Showcases Latest Bridge System Technology at MYS

Raytheon Anschütz, a German-based manufacturer of integrated bridge systems for super yachts, demonstrates the latest generation of their Synapsis Intelligent Bridge Control series at this year’s Monaco Yacht Show.

Synapsis is based on a newly developed system architecture featuring task-orientated multifunctional workstations. The workstations use new generation solid-state hardware, share data through an Ethernet ring network, and include an innovative software framework to centralize tasks as well as improve integrity and consistency of information delivered.

Customers benefit from maximum flexibility by having access to any function from any workstation. The Captain’s work is simplified through a standardized HMI, enhanced functionality – in particular to easy voyage planning and monitoring on ECDIS and conning – as well as intelligently automated routines – such as sensor data quality management and alert handling. Finally, this results in another contribution to reach highest standards of safety at sea, berth or anchorage.

Tobias Grunwald, Segment Manager for Mega Yachts at Raytheon Anschütz states:

With Synapsis we offer customers a professional, higher-level and IMO certified navigation system. Thanks to its unique system architecture we can offer customers larger system solutions with both, navigation and ship automation, with high flexibility for the respective manufacturers. ”

To demonstrate additional capabilities and simplifications arising from such a higher degree of integration, the Italian yacht automation system provider Seastema joins the Raytheon Anschütz booth. A teaming agreement between Seastema and Raytheon Anschütz has become effective and proven its value when delivering advanced integrated bridge systems, which seamlessly combine yacht navigation and automation systems, to two Italian built mega yacht projects.

Over the past years, Raytheon Anschütz has equipped various mega yachts built at world leading shipyards in Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Turkey, or the United States.
