RED Engineering Expands Team with New Hires

Hexham-based RED Engineering has made new appointments as it gears up for further growth after completing more than 300 projects in 10 years.

RED Engineering, which provides specialist engineering consultancy and design expertise, has appointed Will Hopps as lead engineer, while Magnus Campbell re-joins as principal engineer.

Barry James is appointed as a senior engineer and Adam Lockett starts as a design engineer.

Also joining on a student placement is Anthony Forster, who will be working with the engineering team to gain project experience alongside his studies at Newcastle University.

The new starters join Brian Valentine, who was recently appointed as business developer to oversee the expansion of RED Engineering’s test services and develop new business opportunities.

Since it was stabled in 2008, RED Engineering, which currently employs 25 people at its Burn Lane site and has annual revenues of circa £3.5 million, has completed hundreds of contracts for global clients.

The company has completed projects for TechnipFMC, Baker Hughes GE, AVID Technology and Subsea 7 among other operators in the offshore oil and gas, renewables and nuclear decommissioning sectors.
