Repaired Ore Carrier Beate Oldendorff Departs CIC Changxing Shipyard, China

The ore carrier Beate Oldendorff, managed by a Germany-based shipping company, smoothly arrived at CIC Changxing Shipyard in the middle of September to receive much needed repairs. It was the second time that the repair contract for the vessel was awarded to CIC-Shipyards.

Her main work scope was as follows: the routine dry-docking repairs, the hull painting applied with a new high-tech coatings, the renewal of 1000 tons of steel, the ballast tanks coating, the maintenance of mechanical equipments and etc.

The attending superintendent arrived in Shanghai in advance, made a kick-off meeting with the shipyard’s repair team and communicated with the leaders of the yard face-to-face.
