Repsol Calls Polarcus for Morocco Shoot

Seismic player Polarcus has received a letter of intent (LOI) from Repsol for a broadband 3D survey offshore Morocco.

According to the Oslo-listed company the survey is scheduled to start in Q3 2016. Polarcus did not reveal how long the project would run, nor the vessel which should be assigned for the task.

Repsol has rights for exploration blocks located in the Gharb basin and is a partner of ONHYM (Office National des Hydrocarbures et des Mines) in this exploration area.

This will be Polarcus’ new campaign in Morocco after previously carrying out a 3D seismic acquisition programme for Tangiers Petroleum, now 88 Energy, in the Tarfaya block.
