Rosneft, China Consider Expansion of East Siberia Cooperation

As part of the preparations for the visit of President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin to China, Rosneft President, Chairman of the Management Board Igor Sechin held a meeting with Zhou Jipng, General Director of China National Natural Gas and Petroleum Corporation on the 15th of May.

The parties discussed a wide range of questions, in particular, the expansion of cooperation in upstream projects in East Siberia. Moreover during the talks Igor Sechin and Zhou Jipng discussed the realization of projects in the refinery field and construction of the relevant infrastructure. Zhou Jipng underlined the importance of the project for the economy of China and expressed content that CNPC’s partner in its realization is Rosneft.
