Rosneft men enter FESRC Board

On June 26, 2014 in Vladivostok Rosneft President, Chairman of the Management Board Igor Sechin took part in the annual general meeting of shareholders of the Far Eastern Shipbuilding and Ship repair center (FESRC); its Board of Directors is also headed by Igor Sechin.

In the course of the AGM the annual report of FESRC and annual accounting reports for 2013 were approved, new Board of Directors and auditing commission membership elected and the auditor of Society approved. Also, positive decisions were made on financial and credit sources of FESRC projects (the construction of Zvezda Shipbuilding complex in Bolshoy Kamen, the upgrade of Dalzavod ship repair center capacities in Vladivostok).

At the suggestion of Rosneft and taking into account its experience in the industry, a decision was made to include Rosneft Vice President for Offshore Projects Zeljko Runje in the FESRC Board of Directors. He took the place of the President Deputy of the board of Directors, Vice President – the Head of Rosneft President executive office Rashid Sharipov. This change is connected with new challenges set for the Far Eastern Shipbuilding and Ship repair center by the Russian government.

Thus, following the results of the meeting Igor Sechin, Rosneft Deputy Director for technique and technology localization department and a FESRC Board of Directors Igor Borbot, Deputy President of FESRC Board of Directors and Rosneft Director of technique and technology localization department in Vice President rank Konstantin Laptev, USC Vice President for Finance and Economy Alexander Neugebauer, Director of Shipbuilding industry and marine equipment department of Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation and FESRC Board of Directors member Leonid Strugov, Vice Chairman of Gazprombank Management Board Natalya Chervonenko and Zeljko Runje entered the FESRC Board of Directors.

Also, Igor Sechin held a meeting on shipbuilding issues in Vladivostok, which was attended by representatives of the United Shipbuilding Corporation.
On June 16, 2014 Rosneft, the Russian Federation Ministry of Industry and Trade, Gazprom, Novatek, Gazprombank, Sovcomflot, the United Shipbuilding Corporation signed an Agreement on establishing a joint venture intended to realize projects on constructing and designing vessels, drilling platforms and marine equipment.

In the elaboration of the proposition made by the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin and taking into account requirements of applicable law parties agreed to engage in Far Eastern Shipbuilding and Ship repair center (FESRC) as a united center for placing orders when choosing contractors and signing all contracts for designing and building marine equipment with Russian and foreign contractors. As part of realizing the program parties will form a working group, which will be coordinated by the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
