RS Aqua and RBR Sign Representation Agreement

Managing Director, Roger Scrivens, comments: “We view RBR as one of the quality brands in the ocean instrumentation market and are delighted to have been invited to act for them. The RBR range complements our existing portfolio perfectly and we are immensely excited about the prospects”.

Founded in 1976 by Richard Branckner, RBR is known globally for it’s diverse range of submersible data loggers, recorders, sondes, controllers and sensors for ocean and fresh water quality measurement. Under the more recent guidance of proprietor Greg Johnson, the company has developed a reputation for a high quality, competitively priced instrumentation range supported by a team keen to see their customers acquire quality ocean data sets. The standard data logging instruments offer single to multiple channel capacity covering parameters as temperature, depth, conductivity, pH, ORP (RedOx), fluorescence, PAR, turbidity (OBS, TSS), dissolved oxygen, waves and tides. Operating environments include oceanographic, freshwater, cryospheric, estuarine and coastal.

In addition to the measuring instruments, RBR offers MLM-100 Mooring Line Inductive Modem system which is designed to provide fast communication with loggers deployed up to a kilometre in depth. The modem uses an underwater transformer to transmit information through a jacketed mooring line without requiring cables or connectors.

Both companies will be at Oceanology International (Oi14) show at Excel London on booth J201 (RBR) and F550 (RS Aqua).
