Russia: 15,000 Vessels Receive Ecological Services from Rosmorport in 2012

 

FSUE “Rosmorport” provided ecological services to 15 thousand vessels in 2012. That was the message of Sergey Ilyashenko Chief of the FSUE “Rosmorport” Navigation Support Department, which he gave during the IV International Forum Ecology (project of the United Russia Party “Saint-Petersburg, the sea capital of Russia”).

During 2012 the enterprise also collected about 14 thousand cubic meters of waste, 52 thousand tons of oily waters, and 12 thousand tons of sewage, he said.

The speaker also pointed out that 554 vessels having environmental protection equipment onboard were given a 50% discount on ecological dues.

FSUE “Rosmorport” provides services on collection of waste at the rates of ecological dues in 11 seaports. For this purpose the FSUE “Rosmorport” branches run 33 special vessels, 4 incinerator stations and other environmental protection equipment.
