FSUE Rosmorport to Increase its Environmental Fleet -

In the network of the environmental program the enterprise is planning to construct 22 vessels until the year of 2015 at the cost of European Bank for Reconstruction and Development raised funds.

The investments will sum up to 155 million dollars, said Sergey Ilyashenko, head of FSUE “Rosmorport” Division of Navigation Supporting at the exhibition On the Problems of National and International Shipping as part of the World Ocean exhibition.

According to Sergey Ilyashenko, the environmental program envisages the construction of the following vessels:

– 7 oil garbage disposal and boom pitter vessels;

– 3 ice class bilge water removing ships;

– complex waste processing stations;

– 8 ice class buoy crafts;

– 3 vessels for selected depths maintenance in order to supply safety navigation and prevention of accidents with heavy ecological effects.

The enterprise uses 31 vessels intended for nature protection purposes as part of auxiliary fleet to maintain environmental safety in the seaports at the moment.
