 Insurance Company SK Allianz JSC Gets Vyborg Shipyard's Icebreaker Tender

By decision of the tender commission of Vyborg Shipyard insurance company “SK Allianz JSC” has been declared as the winner of the tender for the right of conclusion of a shipbuilding insurance contract for the project of construction of two diesel-powered sea-going icebreakers of project 21900M.

Icebreaker of project 21900M is a two-decker designed for unrestricted area of operation with two azimuth thrusters and one bow thruster, equipped with helideck, displacement about 10 000 t, length 116 m, width 26.5 m. Icebreaker is capable of operation in ice thickness up to 1.5 m.

Purpose of the vessel: independent ice escorting of heavy-tonnage vessels, towage, fire fighting on floaters and other facilities, salvage and assistance to distressed vessels, transportation of cargoes.

Delivery time – May and October 2015.
