Russia: Nevsky Shipyard Launches Multipurpose Salvage Vessel SPASATEL ZABORSHCHIKOV

Recently the launching ceremony of the third in a series multipurpose salvage vessel “SPASATEL ZABORSHCHIKOV” yard number 703, capacity 4 МW, project MPSV07 took place at Nevsky Shipyard slipway. The construction of the vessels of the series is carried out in accordance with the State Shipbuilding Contracts for the Federal Marine and River Transport Agency and for the Direction of State Contractor of Marine Transport Development Program.

The representatives of Customer, Russian Maritime Registry of Shipping, mass media, the Management and employees of the Shipyard participated in the ceremony devoted to this event. Mikhail Zaborshchikov, the person after whom the vessel is named, was the most honorable guest of the ceremony.

The project is developed by “Marine Engineering Bureau-Design-SPb”, JSC.

Length overall (appr.): 73,0 m

Breadth on DWL: 15,5 m

Draft, max: 5,1 m

Deadweight at maximum draft (appr.): 1171 t

Maximum capacity (not less): 2х2000 KW

Maximum speed: 15 knots

As soon as the construction the vessels is completed, the vessels will be delivered to «State Marine Pollution Control and Salvage and Rescue Service of RF» (Gosmorspassluzhba) and will be included into the state rescue fleet capable to perform underwater-technical, diving and rescue works.
