Russia Plans to Increase LNG Supply to India

Russia plans to increase LNG supplies to India in 2016, RIA Novosti reported, citing Russian President Dmitry Medvedev.

Gazprom has signed the memoranda covering major supplies of LNG to India with several Indian companies,” Medvedev said.

India’s ONGC is in talks with Russian Gazprom to jointly develop projects to produce liquefied natural gas, India’s oil ministry said in a statement this month.

The county’s LNG import capacity will jump more than three-fold by the middle of the decade, finance director of Petronet LNG recently said.
