"Spasatel Karev” Passes Sea Trials with Flying Colors

On October 10th, 2012 the multipurpose salvage vessel “Spasatel Karev” (project MPSV07) returned to Nevsky Shipyard from builder’s sea trials.

The multipurpose salvage vessel Spasatel Karev set off on sea trials from Nevsky Shipyard quay on September 18th 2012. Sea trials were carried out in Lake Ladoga. The Sea Trials Program was completed successfully and in full scope.

The vessel Spasatel Karev of project MPSV07 is the lead multipurpose salvage vessel (Yard Number 701) developed by Marine Engineering Bureau-Design-SPb, JSC.

Multifunctional salvage vessel of MPSV07 project has the high ice class.

Her principal dimensions are as follows:

Length overall – about 73.0 m;

Length between perpendiculars – 64.4 m;

Breadth overall – about 16.6 m;

Breadth (due waterline) – 15.5 m;

Design draught – 4.5 m;

Working draughts – 4.0-5.1 m;

Full speed – 15 kn;

Autonomy – 20 days;

Bollard pull is about 70 tons.
