Saipem Extends with Solstad

Norway’s vessel owner, Solstad Offshore, informed that Italian contractor Saipem has declared their option to extend the contract for the construction vessel (CSV) Normand Cutter.

Starting from May 2015, this is the last of a total of three yearly options.

Normand Cutter, a deepwater subsea construction and umbilical lay DP vessel with a length of 127.5 meters, a beam of 23.4 meters, and a deadweight of approximately 10000 tons, has among other things a load capacity of approximately 7000 tons of cable.

The Vik-Sandvik 4125CLV-design vessel was Built in 2001 by Ulsten, has a 1500 square meters deck area and it’s equipped with a 300 MT offshore crane, one 25 MT auxiliary crane and a 120 MT bollard pull.

The vessel was built to accommodate for total of 114 persons.
