Samsung Heavy Delivers Drillship Ocean Rig Skyros

Ocean Rig UDW Inc., a global provider of offshore deepwater drilling services, successfully took delivery of its newbuilding drillship, the Ocean Rig Skyros, on Friday, December 20, 2013.

The vessel is 7th Generation Deep Water Drillship built at Samsung Heavy Industries in South Korea and is based on the Saipem 10K design.

The drillship is currently mobilizing to offshore Angola to commence drilling operations with Total.
