Sener develops LNG-powered bunkering vessel

Barcelona-based Sener on Monday informed it has developed a new design of a bunkering vessel that uses LNG as fuel.

The vessel design features two 8000 cbm IMO type C LNG cargo tanks at 4,5 bar with an incorporated BOG management system, Sener’s statement reveals.

It is designed for navigation, maneuverability and operation in adverse meteorological conditions, including unrestricted navigation notation as it uses LNG as propulsion fuel, with type C tanks on deck.

The 114.8 meters vessel includes articulated arms designed for the ship-to-ship (STS) bunkering process.
