Sentinel Marine Orders Two AHTS Vessels from Nam Cheong

Sentinel Marine, owner and operator of offshore support vessels from Singapore, announced on November 12, 2012 that it has ordered two Anchor Handling Towing & Supply Vessels (AHTS) from Nam Cheong Dockyard under the terms from previously exercised option in October.

Based on Khiam Chuan Marine design, the new AHTS vessels will be built at Fujian South East Shipyard. The deliveries are planned between the third and fourth quarter of 2013.

The length of the vessels will be 59.25 m with clear deck area of 330 m2 , providing accommodation for 42 persons. The vessels will have one bow thruster each plus one stern thruster that differ these units from the basic design. Furthermore, the AHTS DP 1 vessels will be powered by 5150 BHP engines and will have 62T Bollard Pull power.

Sentinel Marine also revealed on November 16th that the company has sold its second new build AHTS 5150, Hull SK 67 but terms of the sale have remained confidential.
