Shawcor lands a batch offshore pipe coating deals

Energy services company Shawcor has scored contracts to provide pipe coating services across projects operated by Shell, Petrobras, ConocoPhillips, BP, Neptune.

Shawcor, listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange, said on Tuesday that the contracts were signed with an international EPC contractor.

The company will provide coating services for the following offshore pipeline projects for Petrobras’ Mero project in Brazil, ConocoPhillips’ Tor 2 in Norway, BP’s Atlantis in the Gulf of Mexico,  Shell’s Powernap in the Gulf of Mexico, and Neptune Energy’s Gjøa P1 and Duva in Norway.

“These projects will be executed within Shawcor’s network of coating facilities, including Serra in Brazil, Orkanger in Norway and Channelview in the United States during 2019-2020. Coating work under these contracts is valued at approximately CAD$65 million,” Shawcor said.

 

 


Shawcor’s original statement listed Energean’s Karish development in Israel as one of the projects included in the contract. The company issued a subsequent statement (correction) excluding the project from the deal.
