Shell Extends Genesis Contract

Shell Extends Genesis Contract

Genesis has announced a five-year extension to its Engineering Services support contract with Shell. The original contract was awarded in 2003.

The contract scope covers the provision of all categories of engineering and design staff and associated support services, with Genesis personnel working alongside Shell staff as an integrated engineering team. Since 2003 the team has been working on the design and development of engineering projects on behalf of Shell operating units around the world.

Dave Russell, Genesis’ Global Business Improvements Director in Aberdeen commented, “This contract is very significant for Genesis and our relationship with Shell continues to grow. The contract renewal will culminate in a 15-year continuous relationship which has now extended to our London office and helped launch other business streams within Genesis, most notably in our Decommissioning & Restoration offering. The Genesis team seconded into Shell’s office has grown from fifteen people in 2003 to the current level of just over 140. We continue to offer our people here in Aberdeen the opportunity to input into some of the biggest and most technically challenging projects within the global Oil & Gas industry today. We are delighted that Shell has taken the opportunity to extend the contract for a further five years and we believe that this is testimony to the hard work and dedication of our team.”
