Shell’s LNG sales rise 22 pct

Oil and gas giant Shell said its equity LNG sales volumes of 23.97 million tonnes in 2014 were 22% higher than in 2013, mainly reflecting the contribution from Atlantic LNG and Peru LNG.

The company’s equity LNG sales volumes of 6.20 million tonnes in the fourth quarter increased by 26% compared with the same quarter a year ago, Shell said in a statement on Thursday.

Shell’s fourth quarter 2014 earnings, on a current cost of supplies (CCS) basis, were $4.2 billion compared with $2.2 billion for the same quarter a year ago.

Full year 2014 CCS earnings were $19.0 billion compared with $16.7 billion in 2013.
