Siem Offshore, an international offshore and subsea shipping company, has completed the sale of its 20 years old platform supply vessel (PSV) to an undisclosed buyer.

Siem said on Wednesday that the company completed the sale of the PSV Siem Carrier and that the sale price was confidential.

The company also said that the new owner would not trade the vessel in the offshore supply vessel (OSV) segment.

The 1996-built PSV was designed to carry out regular supply functions and cargo transport for the oil industry as well as standby functions.

The Siem Carrier is fitted with a Kongsberg DP2 system and can carry 4679t of dead weight. The vessel is powered by two Wartsila diesel engines with nearly 5000 kW of power which enables it to reach a speed of 14 knots.
