Siem Wins MRSV ‘Siem Marlin’ Charter Deal

Norway’s Siem Offshore has inked a charter contract with an undisclosed international construction diving and subsea engineering company for the MRSV Siem Marlin.

According to Siem’s Oslo Stock Exchange filing, the agreement is made at market terms and is firm for a period of five years with a purchase obligation at the end of the charter period. The charter is scheduled to start in September 2015.

The vessel is a Multi-purpose field and ROV Support Vessel (MRSV) specially designed for ROV & crane operations for seabed duties through moonpool or along ship sides.

The 93.60 meters long vessel is equipped with frequency controlled Rolls Royce Azipull azimuth thrusters and a Kongsberg K-Pos DP-21 DP II (Dynpos AUTR) system .

The vessel design is of type MT 6017 Mk II according to the DNV class notation “Clean Class” and “COMF-V rate 3”.
