Solstad Farstad sells Far Service platform supplier

Norwegian offshore shipping company Solstad Farstad has sold one of its platform supply vessels (PSVs).

The sale was made by the Farstad Marine AS, a wholly owned subsidiary of Solstad Farstad ASA to an undisclosed buyer.

Solstad Farstad said that the delivery of the vessel to the new owners took place on October 3. The vessel in question is the 1995-built PSV the Far Service.

Norway’s newly-formed OSV provider added that the sale of the vessel would result in an immaterial accounting effect for the fourth quarter of 2017.

According to the latest AIS data, the sold Far Service PSV is currently moored in the Port of Brest, France.

The vessel was built in 1995 by Soviknes Verft AS. The Far Service is 83.8 meters long, 18.8 wide, and can accommodate 26 people.

To remind, the OSV provider sold three anchor handlers last month to the Brazilian Navy in a deal worth approximately $24 million and sold the Far Shogun AHTS vessel in July.
