Sølvtrans Enters New Charter Agreement for Well Boat Ronja Commander

Sølvtrans has renegotiated and entered into a new time charter agreement with Marine Harvest UK for the well boat Ronja Commander. The current agreement expires on 31 January 2013, and the renewed contract is valid from 1 January 2014 till 31. December 2016.

“We are very pleased to continue our good and long-lasting cooperation with Marine Harvest. Ronja Commander has now been on contract with Marine Harvest UK since the vessel was new in 2003,” says Roger Halsebakk, CEO of  Sølvtrans.

The new contract terms are on market level. Ronja Commander is a closed vessel with a cargo capacity of 940 m3.

Sølvtrans’ new wellboat, Ronja Polaris, is undergoing testing and sea-trials at the yard. The vessel is supposed to leave Bilbao bound for Norway in the course of a few week’s time. The vessel will then directly start operating under the agreed contract with Marine Harvest Norway. Sølvtrans will according to the newbuilding contract with the yard, receive compensation for the delivery delays.
