South Hook LNG awaits Qatari cargo

Qatar’s Ras Laffan LNG complex recently shipped another cargo to the South Hook liquefied natural gas terminal in the United Kingdom. 

The 266,000 LNG carrier Zarga is scheduled to arrive at South Hook on September 21, the shipping information from the Milford Haven Port Authority shows.

The Q-Max LNG carrier was built in 2010 by Samsung heavy Industries and delivered to its owner, Nakilat.

The South Hook terminal, located on the shores of the Milford Haven waterway is owned by Qatar Petroleum, ExxonMobil and Total. The facility can process 15.6 million tons of LNG a year and is capable of delivering 21 billion cubic meters of gas a year into the UK’s national transmission system.

According to the gas transmission data from the National Grid, gas flows from the South Hook LNG terminal into the NTS during September 14 were at 42.2 mcm per day.
