South Korea: LNG Imports Down in October

South Korea imported 2.70 million tonnes of LNG in October, down 9.3% from the same month in 2011, customs data showed.

The country  imported 2.81 million tonnes of LNG in September.

The average LNG import price in October was $12.93/MMBtu, down 6.1% on year.

South Korea’s KOGAS, the world’s largest corporate buyer of liquefied natural gas, plans to import about 36.46 million tonnes of LNG this year.
