The shipbuilder did not reveal who is the company behind the order saying only it is a shipowner in the Oceania region.

The LNG carrier worth about $180 million will be built at the Okpo yard in Geoje and is scheduled to be delivered to its owner by the first half of 2021, according to Daewoo.

The MEGI vessel will also be equipped with a reliquefaction system.

This is the 17th LNG carrier order for Dewoo this year. With this order, the shipbuilder reached 90 percent of its 2018 target.

Daewoo has won orders worth $6.58 billion this year for a total of 45 ships.
