Spain: Astilleros Gondan Puts Final Touches to Its New Building in Figueras

Within the scheduled investment plan set for the second quarter of 2011, Astilleros Gondán is putting the final touches to the new building of its facilities in Figueras. This new infrastructure will support the current buildings in Figueras as well as in Barres.

It is an important enlargement and improvement of an old building that will allow to increase the capacity and productivity of the steel production, as well as a better use of the usable area of the shipyard.

Due to the expansion, it will be possible to manufacture steel blocks with remarkably higher dimensions than the ones operating before.
