Spotted: Al Marrouna Delivers 500th Cargo to Adriatic LNG Terminal

In today’s spotted we bring you an image of Al Marrouna, a liquefied natural gas (LNG) carrier which delivered the 500th cargo to the Adriatic LNG Terminal last month.

The 149,539 cbm Al Marrouna is owned by Bermuda-headquartered shipping company Teekay LNG Partners and Qatari marine company Qatar Gas Transport Company (Nakilat).

Built by South Korean shipbuilder Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering (DSME) in 2006, the Bahamas-flagged ship features a length of 288.2 meters and a width of 43.4 meters.

The regasification LNG terminal, which received the cargo in February, is located in the northern Adriatic Sea.

Operated by GNL Adriatico Srl, also known as Adriatic LNG, the facility became operational in 2009 and has a regasification capacity of 8 billion cubic meters of LNG per year.
