Spotted: Al Zubara Discharges at London Gateway Port

In today’s spotted we bring you an image of MV Al Zubara, one of the world’s largest containerships, discharging at DP World’s London Gateway Port last weekend. 

The 18,800 TEU Al Zubara is owned by Kuwait-headquartered United Arab Shipping Company (UASC).

The boxship, which arrived from Port Klang, Malaysia, was scheduled to depart Sunday evening, September 25, for Port of Rotterdam, the Netherlands.

According to the vessel’s AIS data from Marine Traffic, the Al Zubara is currently moored at the Port of Rotterdam.

Built in 2015, the Al Zubara features a length of 400 meters and a width of 58.6 meters.

The vessel is part of the UASC’s fleet of six 18,800 TEU containerships and part of the company’s fleet of 60 ships.
